The hollow base of TERRA isn't only a visual signature — it's a sealed compartment designed to store the seat and backrest cushions in seconds, protecting them from rain, dust, and direct sun exposure whenever the piece is not in use.
One curve, two lives: a seat by day, a sealed shelter for its own cushions by night.
Rather than choosing from a fixed catalogue, each project starts with the space itself — light, surroundings, and architecture — to define the aluminum finish, fabric, and dimensions of the piece.

TERRA received the Silver A' Design Award for solving, with a single aluminum curve, three long-standing problems of outdoor furniture: cushion storage, protection from the elements, and the need for a truly timeless form.
Jordi Rollant founded Balna Barcelona to design outdoor furniture with the same rigor as an architectural object. TERRA, the brand's first collection, is manufactured and customized under his direct guidance.
